Bangalore , April 17

MobileNXT Teleservices, a Bangalore-based firm funded by a consortium of high net worth investors, has invested $5 million in a mobile retail chain project.

The company will focus on Tier 2 and 3 cities in the country, where adoption of mobiles has exploded.

The stores will allow users to compare handsets across vendors and will also offer a range of pre- and post-paid connections.

Exchange options and accessories such as BlueTooth headsets will also be made available.

The company has tied up with the Singapore-based Accord to offer after-sales services.
