RETAINING SHINE: A silversmith working on a piece of silver at a workshop in Kolkata. Silver prices have increased to 23-year highs on moves to start an exchage-traded fund. This is expected to boost demand. On Tuesday, silver ruled at $13.44 an ounce after hitting $13.79. In the domestic market, it closed at Rs 20,640 a kg.
