Xilinx Inc announced immediate availability of two interfaces for Texas Instruments' DSPs (digital signal processors).

With this, Xilinx Serial RapidIO interface designers can implement unique and flexible high performance architectures in applications such as wireless and telecom infrastructures, digital video and imaging. With Xilinx VLYNQ interface, designers can use TI's latest Da Vinci-based processors to communicate to microprocessor peripherals. "Our TI DSP solutions now have standardised high-speed interfaces to Xilinx FPGAs," said Mr Joe Rigazio, DSP General Manager for Worldwide Catalog and Emerging End Equipments at Texas Instruments.
