HANDS FULL: Tea leaves being weighed at a tea estate in Peermedu in Kerala. Tea production in the first two months of the calendar year has increased to 39.8 million kg (mkg) against 38.4 mkg during the same period a year ago. Exports, on the other hand, have slid to 21.8 mkg against 35.35 mkg during the review period.
