New Delhi, April 19

The board of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd has approved a proposal for the oil major to enter into a contract with Maruti Udyog Ltd for fleet management services on a preferred client basis.

The agreement would see Maruti provide the `fleet management services' under its N2N scheme, which is an integrated offer of lease financing-cum-fleet management services for its vehicles over four years. The scheme, which is being introduced in Delhi, Dehradun, Ahmedabad and Mumbai, will be expanded progressively. The agreement with Maruti is expected to improve service and save costs through optimised fleet deployment, a statement issued by ONGC stated.
