Mr Lalu Prasad

The Railway Minister, Mr Lalu Prasad, has put the fear of God among senior officials of his Ministry. At a recent Railway safety awards function, the Minister told the officers that every time there was an accident, the Opposition came down heavily on him to take responsibility and resign. "Next time such a thing happens and I am asked to resign, you too will have to take your share of responsibility,'' he told them. The officers are now fervently hoping that the Minister's comment was more in jest and not a directive.
