Bangalore, April 20

Freescale Semiconductor has introduced two 32-bit microcontrollers for industrial control applications such as remote data collection, security enhancements, home automation and environmental monitoring.

The MCF5223x device family is the first 32-bit microcontroller that brings a Fast Ethernet Controller, Ethernet PHY and flash memory on a single chip. The MCF5222x device family has integrated USB On-The-Go and flash memory. It allows two USB devices to communicate without a host interface, making it ideal for system-to-system communication applications.
