Cisco to focus on South-based SMBs

L.N. Revathy

Coimbatore , April 20

Cisco Systems has increased its focus on the South Indian market to grow its small, medium and commercial business (SMB) initiatives. The company conducted a road show last year to highlight its SMB products and solutions in tier II cities. It has covered 50-plus cities so far.

Mr Suprabhat Chatterjee, National Business Development Manager, Cisco Systems (India & SAARC) termed the company's Integrated Services Router (ISR) as a `small office' out of a box.

Mr Chatterjee observed that the SMB sector had moved from backend services to employing business critical applications and networking. "Cisco has seen over 50 per cent growth in this business segment," he said.

"It is imperative for the SMBs to be networked because the global supply chain demands such an environment," he told Business Line.
