Justice Hegde award for Soli Sorabji

Mangalore, April 21

The `Justice K.S. Hegde Charitable Foundation Award-2006' will be conferred on Mr Soli Sorabji, former Attorney General of India, in Mangalore on April 29. A press release by the Justice K.S. Hegde Charitable Foundation and Nitte Education Trust said here on Friday that Dr Justice A.S. Anand, Chairperson of National Human Rights Commission, would present the award to Mr Sorabji. On the occasion, Mr Sorabji will deliver a lecture on `Challenges in democracy: We have promises to keep'. The release said that the foundation and the trust would celebrate Founder's Day at Nitte in Udupi district on April 25. The Union Minister, Mr Oscar Fernandes, will inaugurate the celebration. There will be an exhibition on life and times of Late Justice K.S. Hegde.
