Mumbai to host three-day Indo-China meet

Our Bureau

Mumbai , April 21

The India China Economic and Cultural (ICEC) Council, a non-government organisation, is conducting a three-day `China Investment and Trade Development Conference' in Mumbai, commencing April 27.

The conference will focus on improving bilateral economic and cultural interaction as both India and China stand to gain by banking on each other's common value systems, said Mr P.S. Deodhar, President of ICEC Council. "India-China bilateral trade will be worth $18 billion in the current year and, hence, it is important that both these fast-growing economies complement each other", he said. It is high time we regard China as an associate in our path to development, he said.
