Radhakrishnan appointed TVS Motor President

Chennai , April 23

Mr K.N. Radhakrishnan, Executive Vice-President of TVS Motor Company, has been appointed President. The 43-year-old Mr Radhakrishnan, who holds an M.Tech from IIT Chennai, is the youngest person to hold the post of President, said a company release.

"Mr Radhakrishnan's appointment comes at a time when TVS is passing through a growth phase cashing on the quality aspects of its products," it added.

Mr Radhakrishnan joined TVS Motor Company in September 2000 as General Manager (Business Planning) and was soon promoted as Vice-President (Business Planning). In September 2004, he was elevated to the post of Executive Vice-President.

Prior to joining TVS Motor Company, Mr Radhakrishnan was the Head of Business Planning and Human Resources at Sundaram-Clayton, another company of the TVS group.

"An expert in TQM and planning, Mr Radhakrishnan was instrumental in implementing the TQM programme at Sundaram-Clayton and later at TVS Motor Company. His initiative and drive enabled the two companies to win the Deming Prize in 1998 and 2002," the release said.
