NIIT to expand schools drive

Hyderabad, April 24

NIIT is looking at expanding its K-12 computer literacy campaign to schools across all the States. The company now covers 4,200 schools in both the public and private domains. Talking to newspersons here on Monday, Mr P. Rajendran, Director and Chief Operating Officer, said the company would like to partner with all the States to extend the programme.At present, the company offered this programme in Assam Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Meghalaya and West Bengal. The company earned Rs 100 crore from this business segment.Mr Rajendran was here for the `Digital Art Festival-2006' where works of students from Government schools in Andhra Pradesh were displayed.
