CSS buys e-Brahma Tech

Chennai, April 24

The CSS Group, the San Jose-based IT services group, on Monday said that it has acquired e-Brahma Technologies that specialises in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) space.A statement from CSS said the acquisition had been fully funded from internal reserves. Mr Shiva Ramani, co-founder, CSS, told Business Line, "We acquired e-Brahma for its competence. It has a base of about five customers, most within India and one in Europe, that we would like to use as references." He added that he expected the acquisition to give CSS a six-month head start in terms of "our entry into the SME ERP segment." Mr V. Paramasivam, founder e- Brahma, would join the group as V-P Engineering and Mr G. Ramasubramaniam, co-founder, would head the ERP offerings of the CSS group
