VIP Q4 net profit dips

Mumbai, April 25

VIP Industries Ltd has reported net profit of Rs 3.76 crore for the fourth quarter against Rs 4.32 crore in the year-ago period. The company's board has recommended a dividend of 20 per cent or Rs 2 per share.

Total income for the quarter was Rs 84.34 crore, an eight per cent growth over the year-ago period.

For the full year, exports grew by 53 per cent to Rs 55.85 crore, driven largely by exports for Carlton.

Net profit for the full year stood at Rs 8.12 crore, higher by 11.7 per cent from the previous year.

The VIP scrip moved up by Rs 3.15 to Rs 121.45 in Tuesday's trade on the BSE.
