Outsourcing Intelligroup bags $24-m Greenland deal Our Bureau
Hyderabad , April 26 Intelligroup Inc. has bagged a $24-million multi-year infrastructure outsourcing contract from Royal Greenland based in Greenland. Intelligroup has about 10 clients in infrastructure outsourcing and plans to address it as a separate business complimenting its range of enterprise solutions. Addressing a press conference at their new facility here, the company's President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Vikram Gulati, said, "This signifies our presence in infrastructure management and will strengthen our presence in Europe." The company will use its 24x7 onsite and offshore delivery model to provide services to Royal Greenland, which is engaged in fishing, processing and marketing of seafood products. Mr Gulati said that the company recorded revenues of $125 million and currently employs about 2,000 people spread across six delivery centres in the US and two development centres at Hyderabad and Bangalore in India. "We have had funding from our strategic partners, the details of which I would not be able to disclose," he said. The new facility will host centres of excellence for clients like GE and Hitachi. The Vice President of Marketing, Intelligoup, Mr. Alok Pant, said "Intelligroup was among 10 companies in the Mendocino initiative that seeks to tie up SAP and Microsoft technologies. We have also teamed up with Compuware to offer testing services."
