Reservation menace

`Reservation' in any form is against the general interests of the citizens in a democratic country. Democracy, by itself, propagates `Equality'. Therefore, the `reservation' based on the quota for different categories, and the vote-bank politics being played by the government of the day is a complete violation of our constitutional rights.

The current agitation spearheaded by the medical students for protecting their rights is only fair. In fact, all the like-minded citizens of this country must come forward and lend support to this cause — to fight the reservation/quota totally.

If at all the government wants to continue with vote-bank politics, there can be only one class — the economically backward class. The government can extend financial benefits to them by way of free/subsidised education, books, uniforms, rations, etc. But, when it comes to competitive fields, there is no place for reservations or quotas.
