Financial Performance Corporate Results - Telecommunications HFCL turns around Our Bureau
New Delhi , April 27 Telecom equipment manufacturer Himachal Futuristic Communications Ltd said on Wednesday it has posted a profit of Rs 13.87 crore for the fourth quarter 2005-06, against a loss of Rs 44.78 crore in the corresponding period last year. Profit after tax for the fiscal ended March 31, 2006, rose to Rs 42.89 crore against a loss of Rs 84.21 crore in the previous fiscal. Sales turnover was also up 295 per cent at Rs 256.51 crore, an HFCL official said. "HFCL has turned around and is riding on the telecom boom witnessed in the country. We are looking at a strong forecast for FY'07 with significant growth in topline gross margins and EBIDTA margins," HFCL Managing Director, Mr Mahendra Nahata, said. Giving the outlook for 2006-07, the company, which claimed to have an order book at over Rs 760 crore, said it was targeting sales turnover of Rs 1,000-1,500 crore and net profit of Rs 170-180 crore.
