Full year net rises by 40 pc despite avian flu scare

Coimbatore, April 29

SKM Egg Products Export (India) Ltd has reported a three-fold increase in its profit after tax at Rs 5.99 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006, against Rs 1.46 crore during the same period the previous year.

While its operating profit (after interest and depreciation) for the quarter was higher at Rs 2.41 crore (Rs 1.38 crore), the unaudited financial results showed other income at Rs 3.59 crore. The net sale income stood at Rs 15.53 crore (Rs 17.57 crore). The consolidated financial results for the full fiscal ended March 31, 2006 showed a year-on-year income growth of about 8 per cent at Rs 71.63 crore (Rs 65.99 crore). Its net profit rose by 40 per cent at Rs 9.53 crore (Rs 5.64 crore).
