Water purification system from Pentair

Visakhapatnam , April 30

Nitrate pollution is high in Visakhapatnam water and it is necessary to purify it for human consumption, according to Mr Lokapriya Jena, country head, Pentair Water India Private Ltd.

At a press meet here on Saturday, on the eve of the launch of the company's products on Sunday, he said permissible level of nitrates was 40-45 ppm and it was found that levels here were of the order of 250 ppm. "We are selling home water purification systems in the price range of Rs 10,990-16,990. The process is based on reverse osmosis, which is a sure method of removing all the pollutants. The maintenance cost of the system may be around Rs 1,000 per annum," he said.
