BEML Q4 net profit falls 46%

Bharat Earth Movers Ltd's net profit saw a dip for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 at Rs 86.1 crore even as its income for the period showed an increase from Rs 754.1 crore to Rs 836.5 crore. BEML's profit for the fourth quarter at Rs 86.1 crore was about 46 per cent less than Rs 126.3 crore in the same period the previous year.

The company, however showed an improvement in its net profit for the fiscal 2006 at Rs 183.3 crore (Rs 175.2 crore). Total income (net of excise) also increased to Rs 2,123.7 crore (Rs 1,791.5 crore).
