PRODUCTION HOPES: Coffee beans being packed at an unit in Adimali, Kerala. Coffee production this season (October 2005-September 2006) is projected to be 2.81 lakh tonnes. With good pre-monsoon showers, growers hope the next season's crop will be good. Currently, though prices are lower than what it was during January, they are still higher than the last couple of years. This could lead to growers going in for better crop management.
