Bank of India, Andhra Bank hike PLR rates

Mumbai , May 2

Bank of India and Andhra Bank have both announced a hike of 50 basis points in its Benchmark Prime Lending Rate (BPLR). BOI has hiked its BPLR to 11.25 per cent.

Mr K. Ramakrishnan, Chairman and Managing Director, Andhra Bank, said that the bank would hike its BPLR from 10.5 per cent to 11 per cent.

BOI has also raised its home loan rates.

Interest rates on home loans under the floating rate scheme have been increased by 50 basis points to 8 per cent per annum for loans up to five years, and under fixed interest scheme to 9.25 per cent.
