Citigroup's India CEO to head Amcham

New Delhi, May 2

Mr Sanjay Nayar, Chief Executive Officer-India, Citigroup, has been elected as the Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in India (AMCHAM). He was elected at the chamber's annual general meeting held on Monday.

During the First Executive Board Meeting, the board decided that this year the chamber's focus will be on issues related to reforms in the financial services sector, particularly the banking sector, FDI caps, intellectual property rights, data exclusivity, software piracy, high import tariff on specific products, excise duty on packaged software and prevalent trade barriers between India and the USA.
