Airlines Marketing - New Products & Services Etihad Airways introduces Airbus on Mumbai-Abu Dhabi route Our Bureau
Mumbai , May 4 Etihad Airways announced here on Wednesday the introduction of its new Airbus A 330-200 on the Mumbai-Abu Dhabi sector. The Airbus will have 262 seats, in a twin-aisle configuration across two zones. It will have 22 seats in the Pearl Zone and 240 seats in the Coral Zone. Etihad Airways currently operates 10 flights from India to Abu Dhabi seven flights from Mumbai and three flights from Delhi each week operated by Airbus A330-200 and Boeing 767. The new Airbus, that will fly four times a week, will have self-contained seats for business-class travellers with flat bed and direct aisle access, in the Pearl zone. The seats on Coral as well as the Pearl zone will have LCD monitors and audio/video on demand facility. The high-speed wireless Internet access in both the zones will enable passengers to send and receive e-mail, and connect to their respective intranets. Additional facilities of live television and a `Plug and Play' feature, which allows the passengers to view personal videos by connecting to the IFE system, through RCA jack, will also be available.
