AstralPool gets active in Chennai

Chennai , May 4

AstralPool International, providers of end-to-end solutions for swimming pool infrastructure, and part of the Barcelona-based Aquaria Group, announced the launch of its Chennai operations today.

The Chennai office in will be the company's headquarters in the country, according to a release.

The company will also be setting up a pump manufacturing unit in Coimbatore by the last quarter of this year, according to Mr Abe Abraham, CEO, Astral India.

He told Business Line that the company also plans to open a sales office in Kolkata within this quarter to add to existing sales offices in Delhi and Pune.

The headquarters in Chennai will facilitate sales and logistics for the company's operations in India, he added.

Astral Pool International is a £280-million (Rs 1,600-crore) company that has a portfolio of 20,000 clients and market share of 25 per cent worldwide and 40 per cent in Europe, said the release.
