Feedback Ventures to assist road development in Lanka

Our Bureau

New Delhi , May 4

Feedback Ventures has won an Asian Development Bank (ADB) mandate to assist Sri Lanka's Ministry of Highways and its Road Development Authority (RDA), the equivalent of India's NHAI, to increase their ability to attract much greater private investment in Sri Lanka's roads and develop a model concession agreement for them, said a release.

In the 15-month assignment, Feedback Ventures would be responsible for reviewing the financing arrangements for upgrading Sri Lanka's national highways, working out ways to increase private sector participation, develop a model concession agreement, determine necessary reforms in the policy, regulatory, institutional, and financing arrangements of RDA's working.

It will also develop a plan for Sri Lanka's RDA to ensure public consultation, which will strengthen the implementation of various highway projects.
