Chennai , May 4

Bhutan National Bank has selected Financial Software and Systems (FSS) to deploy an online ATM and point of sale (PoS) services in Bhutan via FSSNet, an outsourcing wing of FSS.

"This electronic payment and settlement system is the first step towards our goal of providing basic modern banking amenities to customers," the bank's Managing Director, Mr Kipchu Tshering, was quoted in a press release issued by FSS, a Chennai-based ePayment technologies and solutions company.

The bank is also exploring the possibility of offering credit and debit card facilities to tourists visiting Bhutan by deploying PoS terminals at various locations, the release says.
