Retailing Breguet opens shop in Bangalore K Giriprakash

Bangalore , May 4 Breguet, which makes luxury watches, with some of them costing as much as Rs 8 crore each has opened its retail outlet in Bangalore. Breguet's Vice-President for worldwide sales, Mr Rodolphe Schulthess told newspersons on Thursday that each of these watches are hand made and have been worn by personalities like Napolean Bonarparte, Queen of Naples, Caroline Murat, Queen Victoria and others. Breguet is part of the Swatch Group. The average price of a Breguet watch, is around Rs 12 lakh and around 15,000 pieces of these are sold every year. In India, these watches attract a duty of around 55 per cent. An official of the company said that India was a bigger market for these watches than even China. Breguet was launched first in Delhi in October last year. The company has two outlets in Delhi and the third is based out of Bangalore.
