2nz Animation unit in Kolkata

The Mumbai-based animation company 2nz Animation has tied up with IT company Rahul Commerce of Kolkata to set up an animation production house here at an estimated investment of Rs 2.5 crore.

Christened `Metaphor Studios', the production house will be engaged in the creation of local animated intellectual properties. It will also service clients for overseas contracts and also local advertisement films, Mr Deven Shah, Business Head of Metaphor Studios, told a news conference here.

Mr Shah said the animation arena provided great scope for business and Kolkata and eastern India had a vast untapped resource base of animation talent.
