Gold, silver prices recover

Mumbai , May 5

Precious metals regained its previous losses on the local bullion market on Friday on some buying at lower level amid firm overseas market.

Standard gold prices were up Rs 215 to end at Rs 9,945 per 10 gm from the previous close of Rs 9,730. Pure gold (99.99) was up Rs 205 at Rs 9,990 from the previous close of Rs 9,785.

Silver (.999 fineness) price was up Rs 195 at Rs 20,900 from the previous close of Rs 20,705 a kg.

Kolkata: Silver ready: Rs 20,550 (Rs 20,100); Gold ready: Rs 10,120 (Rs 9,900.)
