Canara Bank hikes deposit rates

Canara Bank has revised upwards the interest rates applicable for FCNR (B), RFC and NRE term deposits across various maturities with effect from May 1.

The new dollar rates in percentage figures (existing rates within brackets) for five slabs are 5.33 (5.29); 5.34 (5.29); 5.35 (5.27); 5.39 (5.30); and 5.43 (5.31). The British pound rates are: 4.87 (4.78); 4.98 (4.83); 5.06(4.87); 5.09 (4.86) and 5.10 (4.85). For euro, these will be 3.32 (3.23); 3.64 (3.52); 3.78 (3.63); 3.88 (3.71); and 3.96 (3.77). As for RFC deposits, dollar savings bank rates are 3.50 (3.50). Rates for other slabs range from 4.55 (4.55) to 5.35 (5.27). New NRE term deposit rates are 6.33 (6.30); 6.34 (6.30); and 6.35 (6.30).
