US-India nuke deal would go through: Rice

New Delhi , May 7

The US Secretary of State, Dr Condoleezza Rice, has expressed hope that the civil nuclear deal between India and the US would go through in the future.

In her meeting with a delegation of Members of Parliament, which was on a six-day visit to the US, Ms Rice said whatever agreement goes through would be within the framework of the July 18, 2005 agreement. The delegation, organised by the CII, met with a wide cross-section of people including The Pentagon and National Security Council think-tanks.
