CII meet on natural gas

Hyderabad, May 8:

The Confederation of Indian Industry will organise a daylong conference on `Natural gas - Unravelling the potential of the K-G Basin' on May 12 here. "The recent discovery of gas in the basin, along the East coast, is expected to transform the Indian gas business scenario, with virtually every major oil and gas operator in the country aspiring to tap the opportunity," a CII press release said.

The proposed seminar would discuss prospects, problems and policies that governed natural gas, infrastructure for best utilisation and distribution of natural gas from the K-G basin.

The GAIL CMD, Mr Proshanto Banerjee, the RIL President and CEO (Petroleum), Mr P.M.S. Prasad, and the Director (Offshore) and Director in-charge (Marketing) of ONGC Ltd, Mr N.K. Mitra, would address the conference.
