Sun TV rises on exit poll

The bullish sentiment at the counter of Sun TV on Tuesday was attributed to the exit poll results in Tamil Nadu giving DMK a 10 percentage points lead over that of its rival AIADMK.

Brokers said much of the interest has been on account of the fact that 90 per cent of Sun TV's equity is held by Mr Kalanidhi Maran, brother of the Union Minister, Mr Dayanidhi Maran.

The stock closed at Rs 1,383.85, up 7.92 per cent on the BSE. Week-on-week the counter has registered a 6.23 per cent gain.
