Sugar spot prices ruled firm at the Vashi wholesale market on Wednesday on fresh buying interest from retailers.

Small grade (S-30) was up a rupee at Rs 1,940/1,981 per quintal over previous day. Medium grade (M-30) was up Rs 4 at Rs 1,972/2,010 per quintal over previous close.
