Slipping shipments

HEALTHY NUT: A street vendor selling cashew nuts in Kerala's Thrissur district. Cashew exports in 2005-06 fiscal declined 7 per cent to 1.14 lakh tonnes, valued at Rs 2,515 crore against 1.27 lakh tonnes valued at Rs 2,709 crore the previous year. The decline could be attributed to the drop in prices during last quarter of current fiscal by about 15 per cent.
