Solix search tool with a difference

V.Rishi Kumar

Hyderabad , May 11

Mining information from massive databases is a complex task, which information officers are faced with in large enterprises. This has been further compounded by regulatory issues which mandate enterprises to store information and then retrieve whenever asked for.

Solix Technologies, a Hyderabad-based company storage technology solutions provider, has developed a solution that addresses this from an enterprise perspective.

Partnership with Google

The Chief Executive Officer of Solix Technologies, Mr Sai Gundavelli, told Business Line "we would like to do to enterprises what Google has done for individuals in their search for information. We have recently entered into a partnership with Google and have joined Google Enterprise professional programme."

When a company has to extract a particular email, or a document, (both are unstructured) or a specific application, the integrated lifecycle management (ILM) solution, which is database agnostic, and developed by Solix, helps. Not only does it help organise information, but also helps extract the information in the form required.

The CEO said Solix expects to double its India headcount from about 200 people to 400.
