Intex `combo power' notebooks

Intex Technologies, player in computer peripherals, has launched its new `combo power' notebooks O28GD and O29GD series. The company has a portfolio of more than 250 products across 20 product categories. Mr Narendra Bansal, Managing Director, Intex Technologies, told presspersons that the new series comes with a DVD combo drive, which could be viewed on a wide screen display of 15". The wireless enabled slots, an inbuilt TV card reader, two inbuilt speakers, 3D stereo enhanced sound system, compatible sound blaster PRO, 256 MB (expandable to one GB) memory, 40GB hard drive and 3 USB ports are some of the value-added features of the new series. He said the notebooks had a warranty of one year and weighed about 2.2 kg without battery. Priced at Rs 39,900 plus taxes, the O29GD series is enabled with Intel Centrino, 1.7 GHz CPU on a 915 GM express chipset. The O28GD series notebook runs on an Intel CeleronM Processor and is priced at Rs 29,900 plus taxes.
