Infinera to double headcount

Our Bureau

Bangalore, May 11

Infinera India is doubling the headcount to 200 at its facility here, as part of its expansion plan to meet the growing demand for the Infinera DTN digital optical networking solution.

Last year, Infinera was leading in the key 10 Gigabit/second long-haul DWDM market with a 20 per cent market share.

The company would also broaden its expertise, taking on more ASIC and hardware development and verification work, in addition to the software development and system testing it has performed since the facility opened in 2002. It plans to add a new customer testing facility to complement its existing system verification labs, said Mr Utkarsh Rai, Managing Director, Infinera India.
