RBI directive on FIIs stake in ACC

Mumbai, May 11

Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) cannot buy into ACC without permission from the RBI, as the FIIs' stake has reached the limit of 22 per cent of the company's paid up capital. "No further purchases of equity shares of ACC should be made on behalf of FIIs through primary or secondary markets in India without prior permission from the RBI," said the apex bank in a notification today.
