Plans Will rope in technical staff for manufacturing companies. To concentrate on senior executive level recruitment for global assignments. Jt. venture partner to focus on mid-level executive recruitment.
Mumbai , May 13 Clarendon Parker Asia, a joint venture recruitment company that was launched recently, plans to recruit NRIs and expatriates for Indian companies in retail, manufacturing, aviation, insurance, entertainment, banking and telecom sectors. Clarendon Parker Asia, is a 50:50 joint venture between Clarendon Parker Middle East (CPME), a staffing solutions company from Dubai, and Rite Choice Consultants Pvt. Ltd, a Mumbai-based recruitment company. "We are trying to bring back Indians to India. Our current focus will be on the NRIs and expatriates in Gulf region and South-East Asia," said Mr Virendra Rastogi, Director, Rite Choice. There will be a "dearth" of technical staff in the manufacturing sector since most of the engineers in India are entering into finance, management and marketing field. Clarendon Parker Asia will try to fill the gap by recruiting technical staff for Indian manufacturing companies, said Mr Rastogi. `India's growing economy has led to a real shortage of quality indigenous executives. Indian IT sector needs 1,00,000 jobs in the next two years. We realised a unique opportunity existed in partnering with CPME to bring essential resources from abroad back to India,' Mr Rastogi said. In the joint venture, CPME will concentrate on senior executive level recruitment for international assignments, managing resource centres, HR services and contract staffing. Rite Choice will focus on the mid-level executive recruitment.
Investment
The joint venture will initially invest between Rs 1 crore and Rs 70 lakh in software development for the initial nine months. Twenty new consultants will be recruited in India. CPME has an existing database of over 1.8 lakh candidates of which 75,000 are Indian nationals. The Clarendon Parker Asia's interactive Web site allows candidates to post their resumes, free of charge. It will currently operate from Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad and Bangalore. It will also expand its services to Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune by end 2007. International software corporations, based in Bangalore have requested meeting with West Asia and NRI candidates for several projects, said Mr Patrick Luby, Chairman, Clarendon Parker Asia and Managing Director, Clarendon Parker Middle East. Clarendon Parker Asia plans to expand its services to Sri Lanka and Bangladesh by 2007 and, Malaysia and Singapore by 2008.
