Curtains rung down on the 22nd India Knit Fair at Tirupur on Friday which had showcased some of the finest 100% cotton and cotton blended knitwear for the spring and summer collection 2007. The three-day fair had attracted over 100 buyers from different countries and members from 223 buying houses/agencies. The visitors were from the US, the UK, the UAE, Canada, China, Australia, Spain, France, Italy, Korea besides Oman. According to a press release from India Knit Fair Association, the organisers of the fair, a total of 58 leading knitwear exporters from Tirupur, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Erode, Jaipur and Ludhiana took part in the fair. Kaytee Corporation Pvt Ltd was adjudged the best exhibitor in the fair for its product displays. Tubknit Fashions Pvt Ltd and Eastman Exports were declared the first and second runners up.
