Suzlon, Siemens replace SCI, Tata Chem in Nifty

Suzlon Energy Ltd and Siemens Ltd have been included in the NSE's 50-share index S&P CNX Nifty index.

The two companies will replace Shipping Corporation of India Ltd and Tata Chemicals.

The changes will beeffective from June 26, said India Index Services & Products Ltd, a joint venture of the NSE and Crisil.

As on Friday, market capitalisation of Suzlon amounts to Rs 38,047 crore and that of Siemens Rs 20,148 crore.

Shares of wind energy major Suzlon is currently quoting at Rs 1,321 against its issue price of Rs 510 last year, when it came out with its IPO.

The power equipment manufacturer Siemens India closed at Rs 5,975 on the BSE on Friday.

IDFC will replace Siemens in the CNX Nifty Junior index, the statement said. Suzlon and Siemens have also found a place in the CNX-100 index.
