Tata Power to transfer division

Mumbai, May 16

Tata Power Company Ltd has obtained shareholder permission for transferring its power systems division to Tata Project Ltd. The permission was obtained by way of postal ballot, said the company in a notice to the stock exchanges. The power systems division consists of the business of undertaking design, fabrication, galvanising, supply, erection, construction and commissioning of transmission lines and all activities of the power systems such as sub-station equipment, conductors, cables, insulators, hardwares and power plant equipment.

This excludes the Bangladesh project, which comprises a 132-KV Ishurdi-Baghabari general purpose transmission line and the 230-KV Ishurdi-Khulna general purpose transmission line, to transmit power from Power Grid Corporation of Bangladesh to their sub-stations, said the statement.
