Airtel Tamil SMS service

Airtel customers in Chennai and Tamil Nadu can now send SMS in Tamil, with the company launching its Tamil SMS service in the State. The users would have to download the application from `Airtel Live' on to their handsets, after which the key-entry and rendering mechanism allows the user to type the SMS in Tamil, said a release. This offering is available on all GPRS handsets, with outgoing Tamil SMS charged at Re 1, and incoming messages free of cost.
