RBD palmolein down

Mumbai , May 18

Except RBD palmolein all major edible oil prices remained steady on the local edible oil market on Thursday on scattered buying interest. RBD palmolein weakened marginally on lack of fresh buying.

Castor oil commercial grade was steady at Rs 326 per 10 kg. RBD palmolein was down a rupee at Rs 393 per 10 kg. Groundnut oil raw was steady at Rs 465 per 10 kg. Soya oil refined imported was steady at Rs 395 per 10 kg. Soya oil crude oil imported was steady at Rs 375 per 10 kg. Sunflower oil expeller was steady at Rs 405 per 10 kg.

In futures segment, castor seed June contracts ended weak at Rs 1,500 per quintal, down by Rs 3 over previous day's close.

Sugar weak

Sugar spot prices weakened further at the Vashi wholesale market on Thursday on stray buying interest amid continued offerings.

Small grade (S-30) was down Rs 5 at Rs 1,917/1,955 per quintal over previous day.

Medium grade (M-30) was down Rs 10 at Rs 1,945/1,981 per quintal over previous close.
