Announcements Jain Granites bags orders worth Rs 9.65 cr Our Bureau
Chennai , May 18 Jain Granites and Projects India Ltd, a Chennai-based granites and marbles trader and exporter, has projected a turnover of Rs 20 crore in the coming fiscal against the Rs 3.93 crore posted in 2005-06, according to Mr R. Sunil Bafna, Executive Director, Jain Granites. He told the press that the company has procured orders worth Rs 9.65 crore in the first 45 days of business in the current financial year, with the export order book position currently at Rs 6.65 crore. The company has also bagged an order of Rs 3 crore for the Delhi Airport modernisation project, and expects business worth Rs 6 crore from the second phase of the project in the coming months. In order to cater to the expanding market, the company will look to expand the number of showrooms throughout Tamil Nadu to about 25 in the next 12 to 15 months. The company also announced that it has appointed a new Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr M. Prakash Bafna, who was earlier the Executive Chairman of Coromandel Granite Co Ltd, an export oriented unit that manufactures granites, slabs, tiles and monuments.
