Global Hospitals, BioGenex ink deal

Hyderabad , May 19

Global Hospitals and BioGenex Laboratories of California have agreed to set up a Centre of Excellence for training and research in molecular diagnostics at the former's facilities.

Dr Krishan L. Kalra, Chief Executive Officer, BioGenex, and Dr K. Ravindranath, Managing Director, Global Hospitals, have signed the memorandum of understanding here.

BioGenex, a 25-year-old company based in San Ramon, is a technology leader in molecular pathology and offers a range of tools and services for diagnostics, research and drug discovery, a press release from Global said.

In another development, the Global Hospitals also entered into an MoU with the ICFAI University. The idea is to promote courses in subjects such as medical informatics and laboratory technology to begin with.
