Moumita Bakshi Chatterjee

New Delhi , May 21

HCL Infosystems on Wednesday announced the launch of its `Enterprise Response Centre' in Mumbai, to provide remote support solutions for key corporates.

"This is a specialised remote monitoring and predictive support centre for mission-critical enterprise infrastructure. Leveraging high-end remote access technologies, HCL has enabled data systems of corporates to be constantly monitored,," Mr George Paul, Executive Vice-President, said.

The company is currently offering these services to 50 corporates.

It expects to double the number in the coming year.

The centre is currently being managed by team of 10 engineers, and this would be expanded as HCL grows its IT infrastructure management business, Mr Paul added.

The system includes problem handling and proactive support capabilities.

The remote access solutions at central server dials out or e-mails the problem to centre, the engineer dials into the system, diagnosis is done remotely over the Net, the spare dispatch request is generated based on requirement, followed by the visit by customer executive on-site for spare replacement.

The proactive support includes remote monthly health checks and providing of uptime report to customers.

This leads to a proactive and pre-emptive service approach.
