Madhucon signs pact with NHAI for TN project

Madhucon Project Ltd (MPL) has signed a concession agreement with the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) for a road project in Tamil Nadu — one of the three contracts it has been awarded in the State.

The national highway BOT (Build Operate Transfer) project between Karur and Dindigul, involves the design, construction, development, operation and maintenance of the stretch (approximately 68 kms) between 305.600 km and 373.275 km.

The project cost is Rs 360 crore, with 20 years concession period and positive grant of Rs 86 crore.

Madhucon has also received in principle sanction for a term-loan, according to a company press release here on Monday.

MPL has been awarded four BOT National Highway projects of 330 km worth around Rs 1800 crore (three in TN and one in Rajasthan), with a total positive grant of Rs 410 crore, which is under execution.

The company has already completed National Highway to the extent of 360 km.

Madhucon, the infrastructure major into building highways, dams, canals, flyover, bridges, residential projects etc, has an order book of over Rs 5,000 crore, which are to be completed in the next 3-4 years, the release added.
